Barrel racer Mikayla Conklin recently earned top placings at the Match Race and the Barrel Royale.
At the Match Race in Liberty, Kentucky, Conklin and Flipper Ta Fame finished in third place out of 200 horses, as well as fifth in the shootout and seventh in the open division. Bloodymaryinatincan placed third in the match race shootout and fourth in the open. Combined, Flipper Ta Fame and Bloodymaryinatincan brought home nearly $1,700.
At the Barrel Royale in Cloverdale, Indiana, Flipper Ta Fame was eighth the first round out of 400 horses, third the second round, and finished in seventh place, bringing home nearly $1,300.
The next venture for Mikayla will be the Futurity and Derby in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
