Following a tour in Europe, KER-sponsored driver Chester Weber recently moved up to the number-two spot on the FEI roster of top four-in-hand combined drivers in the world, as well as third for World Cup Driving Team Qualifiers.

“I am so proud of my teams’ performance throughout the European tournament schedule,” noted Weber. “It’s really exciting to look forward to next year, to think of the possibilities with the combination of seasoned veterans like Jane Clark’s Splash, and the new horses on the roster.”

Weber’s new team of Lipizzan’s are staying behind in Europe to compete in the indoor tournament circuit, while the team of Dutch Warmbloods he owns with Jane Clark returned home to Ocala for some much-deserved rest. Weber will be splitting time between Europe and Ocala through the fall season to work on driving skills in indoor competitions.

“Part of the reason we strategically decided to do the indoor World Cup is not only to compete at some of the top show jumping and dressage venues in the world, but it also makes my timing better and it makes me a better outdoor marathon driver, without a question,” explained Weber.

Weber’s horses are seasoned travelers and handle the stress of international competition with ease. In addition to experience, sound nutritional management of the horses is key, including supplementation with research-proven electrolytes. Weber chooses Restore® SR to meet his horses’ electrolyte requirements, no matter where they compete.

“Having a team member like KER on your side is really invaluable because they take away the worry of staying on top of the latest in equine nutrition,” explained Weber. “I trust the experts at Kentucky Equine Research.”
