Chester Weber Competes at World Equestrian Festival, CHIO AachenBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · July 25, 2017

KER-sponsored equestrian Chester Weber recently competed in Aachen at the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO. The driving discipline drew 24 carriages from 10 nations and over 130 horses.

Unlike many other combined driving competitions, the Aachen show featured standalone classes, including a dressage class for four-in-hand drivers to start the show. Weber had a strong second-place finish in this event-opener. In a second standalone class, this time an obstacle driving or "cones" class, Weber again finished right behind the winner.

In individual competition that factored in all three phases—dressage, marathon, and cones—Weber placed second in the dressage phase, with two of five judges giving him top marks. In the final computation, Weber finished in 17th place overall.

Weber’s horses are seasoned travelers and handle the stress of international competition with aplomb. In addition to experience, sound nutritional management of the horses is key, including supplementation with research-proven electrolytes. Weber chooses Restore® SR to meet his horses’ electrolyte requirements, no matter where they compete.
